I was responsible for drafting and help implementing national science and technology R & D Policy in my former post in Cabinet Office. I hope to contribute to raising profile of ICHARM by making use of past experiences including those in the UN-DESA and cabinet Office.
前職（内閣府）では、社会基盤の他宇宙や海洋分野で我が国の科学技術政策づくりと遂行支援に取り組んできました。国際関係の仕事は国連本部勤務以来3年ぶりになりますので、今までの経験を生かしてICHARMに貢献していきたいと思います。

Kenzo Hiroki has been working for integrated water resources management, water disaster management, water and sanitation, ground water, water quality and other water issues domestically and internationally for 30 years. He joined Ministry of Construction, Japan, in 1982. Since then, he was engaged in water management projects, policy formulation, and political dialogue at various levels. Internationally, he successfully organized 3rd World Water Forum in 2003 as Vice Secretary General (2000-2003). He was engaged in global awareness raising activities on water as Head of Secretariat of UN Secretary General’s Advisory Board on Water and Sanitation chaired by HRH Crown Prince of Orange in 2005 through 2008. During the tenure, his achievement includesestablishment of Global Water Operators Partnership, realizing African Union Water Summit in 2008, and obtaining adoption of resolutionUN International Year of Sanitation in 2008by UN General Assembly. He recently helped realizing UN International 5 Year Drive on Sustainable Sanitation (2011-2015).
