- The water-related disasters such as floods and debris flows can cause catastrophic flooding, with serious damage to life and property. But, the people have to live in such areas and have to face catastrophic floods caused by heavy rainfall and impact of climate change. Therefore, it is essential to build a resilient society that can sustainably adapt to flood hazards in a changing and uncertain weather conditions.
