ICHARM’s mission is globally serve as a knowledge hub for the best nation/local practices and an advisor in policy making on water hazard and risk management. This seems to be very important and timely under current difficult situation of water-related issues among the world. For the time being, I would like to contribute to fulfill the targets of the research institution, and hopefully to create further activities in near future.
ICHARMの使命は水災害・リスクマネジメントに関して国家・地域における現場実践の知的拠点、及び実社会での政策立案における助言者としての役割を世界において果たすことです。これは水関連災害をとりまく世界の厳しい状況を見ると、とても重要であり時宜にかなったものと思います。当面は、この研究機関の現在の目標の達成、そして将来的には新たな活動の創造に貢献したいと考えています。
