ICHARM signed an MoU on joint research with DSSC and DOST XI, the Philippines

ICHARM has been conducting activities aimed at enhancing resilience against water-related hazards through the implementation of the Online Synthesis System for Sustainability and Resilience (OSS-SR) and fostering facilitators in the Davao region, the Philippines. With the goal of further enhancing collaboration and extending activities to Digos City of Davao del Sur State, the Philippines, ICHARM concluded a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) and the Department of Science and Technology Region XI (DOST XI) on January 24, 2024.

Based on this MoU, DSSC, DOST XI, and ICHARM will work on the following five cooperative themes: (1) Deployment of the OSS-SR in Davao del Sur State; (2) Forecasting of water-related disasters in the Digos River; (3) Inclusive water education that is open to all individuals; (4) Natural risk management; and (5) City planning for natural hazards and risk management: Case study of Digos City.
